A product can be shipped ambient even if its recommended storage temperature is 2-8 °C because the brief transport at ambient conditions will not impact the quality and effectiveness of the product. Yes, all Quality Biological products are produced in a controlled limited access environment, aseptically dispensed into sterile containers, and are ready for use when you receive them.
PBS and DPBS are buffers, supplied with or without calcium and magnesium, that are used to maintain physiological pH in biological and cell culture applications.
PBS is a phosphate-buffered saline solution commonly used for washing cells before dissociation, diluting cells for counting, transporting of cells or tissue, a general-purpose buffer for reagent prep and molecular biology applications.
DPBS (Dulbecco’s Phosphate-Buffered Saline) is a specific PBS formulation that typically includes potassium salts (KCl and KH₂PO₄) and defined salt concentrations providing physiological pH. It is a balanced salt solution that serves as irrigation, transporting, or diluting fluid for cells.
Both antibiotic-free and phenol red-free options are available, as well as media with these components depending on your experimental needs.
Cell culture media should be stored at 2-8 °C.
When stored properly at 2-8 °C, most cell culture medium should have at least a 2-year shelf-life from the date of manufacture. The exception is DMEM, which has a 1-year shelf life. DMEM tends to precipitate after 12 months even if refrigerated.

We are committed to providing the very best custom manufacturing service and we are pleased to assist with both small and large volume requirements. If the product of interest must be sterile filtered, our minimum volume requirement is 25 Liters, whereas, for products that can be autoclaved, our minimum volume is only 5 Liters. Custom cell culture media can be packaged into containers from 500 mL to 200 L.

During shipping, the trypsin might change from pink to yellow in color due to exposure to carbon dioxide released from the dry ice in the shipping container. In our experience, this discoloration does not affect the functionality of the trypsin.
