Description
Cell Freezing, or cryopreservation, ensures that you have back-up cells in case of contamination and loss of cell supply. It is best to cryopreserve cells when they are at their maximum growth rate or almost confluent. Cell Freezing Medium A protects cells from damage after freezing and thawing.

Applications
Cell Freezing Medium A is frequently used in cell biology research for the cryopreservation of cells. Cell Freezing Medium A (2X) works with Cell Freezing Medium B (2X).
Recommendation
Suspend pelleted cells in cold Cell Freezing Medium A. Transfer to a freezing vial and add equal parts of cold Cell Freezing Medium B. Mix well and store by appropriate methods. Accessory item: Cell Freezing Medium B; accessory not included.
