Corning (3883) 96 Well Half Area White with Clear Flat Bottom are designed to reduce well-to-well crosstalk during luminescent assays. They conform to standard microplate footprint and dimensions and can be used for both top and bottom reading instruments. These microplates are polystyrene and are not treated.
- Bottoms are 60% thinner than conventional polystyrene plates, resulting in lower background fluorescent and enabling readings down to 340nmNot treated (or medium binding) polystyrene surface is hydrophobic in nature and binds biomolecules through passive interactions
- Is suitable primarily for the immobilization of large molecules, such as antibodies, that have large hydrophobic regions that can interact with the surface
- Untreated microplates have a binding capacity of approximately 100 to 200ng IgG/cm²
- Without lids, lids supplied separately
- Total volume is 205 µL; recommended working volume of 25 to 125 µL
