Description

FBS (Fetal Bovine Serum), US Origin Premium Grade, Heat Inactivated is used as a supplement in classical cell culture medium. It nourishes and protects the cells in a way that almost nothing else has been found to do.

Heat inactivation of FBS is performed under controlled conditions. The FBS is heated at 56°C for 30 minutes. This inactivates components in the complement system and other contaminants that can interfere with cell attachment and growth.

US Origin – Premium Grade, Heat Inactivated

Bovine serum stimulates cells to grow and multiply. It helps keep the cells normal and healthy over time.

Applications

Commonly used as a supplement in classical cell culture medium to nourish and protect cells.
