Description

FBS (Fetal Bovine Serum), USDA Approved Origin is used as a supplement in classical cell culture media. USDA FBS both nourishes and protects the cells in a way that almost nothing else has been found to do.

Heat-inactivation of FBS is done under controlled conditions, heating at 56°C for 30 minutes. This treatment inactivates components in the complement system and other contaminants that may influence cell growth.
