PYREX® 15 mL Dounce Tissue Grinder with two Pestles

Description

These hand-driven 15 mL PYREX®; tissue grinders are supplied with two pestles to ensure dissociation of cells into fine particles with minimal damage to cell nuclei. Particularly useful in enzyme studies where heat build-up must be avoided.

• The internal diameter at the bottom of the unground glass tube (mortar) is 0.6000
• Use the large clearance A pestle for initial reduction of soft tissue. The diameter of the ground and polished end is 0.5950± 0.0005 for a nominal clearance of 0.005 with the tube.
• Complete the homogenization with the small clearance B pestle. The diameter of the ground and polished end is 0.5980± 0.0005 for a nominal clearance of .002 with the tube.
• Use the large clearance pestle for initial reduction of soft tissue. Complete the homogenization with the small clearance pestle.
