PYREX® 50 mL Motor-Driven Glass Pestle Tissue Grinder

Description

These motor-driven 50 mL capacity PYREX® tissue grinders (homogenizers) are used in preparing small samples for pathological and biochemical studies. The clearance between the ground tube and pestle is approximately 0.15mm. The parts are ground to a medium grind to insure adequate abrasive qualities, yet deliver a fine homogenous sample.

These tissue grinders (homogenizers) are used in preparing small samples for pathological and biochemical studies. Designed to be motor-driven. Use a friction clutch to eliminate damage to the pestle from pieces of connective tissue or muscle. The clearance between the ground tube and pestle is approximately 0.15 mm.

Caution: If used with a motor-driven device, the attachment must contain some form of friction release clutch to prevent damage to the apparatus from pieces of connective tissue or muscle. The user should wear a protective glove of sufficient thickness to prevent injury in the event of failure of the glass components.
