Description
TNE Buffer is often used as a base material to generate lysis buffers.
- Contains Tris Base (10mM), NaCl (100mM), and EDTA (1mM)
- Filtered through a 0.22 µm membrane
- DNase, RNase, and Protease tested
Applications
TNE Buffer is useful for the isolation of proteins from yeast cells as a lysis buffer, resuspension of pelleted virus or reporter virus particles and the fluorometric determination of DNA content.
Recommendation
Without correcting the pH, concentrated virus can be used in non-denaturing SDS/PAGE-Western Blot analysis.
If the pH is corrected to inhibit triggering of the viral fusion machinery (for West Nile Virus, this corresponds to pH 7.4), the concentrated virus will remain infectious.
